Looking forward to the next Morten Clinic Feb 3-5 at Ricki Brozman's in Ks! Jan/2012:The Lilo Clinic was super with all three horses; Daina, Shugar and Wrubicon were all very good and we always love when she comes to give us guidance! Dec/2011: We had a great clinic with Morten Tompson. Daina, Wieske and Tango participated and all three horses were super! Morten works them from the ground in addition to all the work he does from the hindleg to the hand. Here is a picture of Daina learning her "trick" of reaching for his bamboo stick that's in front of her to help her reach better through the shoulder. This will help her shoulders to come up more not only in the piaffe and passage, but also overall! He was amazing and I'm looking forward to him coming back in the spring!

Jan Hulsebos has generously offered me a sponsorship with a new Hulsebos Saddle. I have ridden in a Hulsebos for 6 years and love them! It's very exciting to have a new one that fits me and Daina. I have many students that ride in them, they are excellent saddles and they offer saddle fittings twice a year at Hidden Oaks Horses. Jan is an expert saddle fitter and will be traveling to our barn two times a year! We are very lucky to have him! Thank you Jan and Tilsa!!! Show time is over and it's time to start really training for next year! I rode with Beth Hall and started putting together a freestyle for Daina and I for next year! Our clinic at Providence Farm in NE for the Adult Series Clinic with Ms. Lilo Fore was amazing! Thank you to Jamie Kment and her family for wonderful hospitality!
Regionals 2011 is over and all the horses showed very well! Daina and I put in two solid rides, ending up Reserve Midwest GP Open Champion and Reserve GAIG/USDF GP Open Champion. Wrubicon was a very good boy and was 7th in the Training Level Midwest Open Championship. Amy Stuhr and Wieske won the 4th Level GAIG/USDF AA Champion with a super ride. Lisa Crick had a very good ride on Amadeus and barely missed being in the ribbons in the Midwest AA Training Level Championship. Overall, the horses were super and I am so proud that they had such a successful show season! My mom and dad were there for my Birthday! Daina and I waiting for our turn at the awards ceremony!
Congratulations to Ann Peters on the purchase of Panda! Congratulations to Kirin Farms on the purchase of Hollywood! 6/18-19/11-St. Louis was a huge success! Daina had her best show yet! We scored a 64.7 in the GP and overall had the best rides we have had so far! Wrubicon, once again, had scores in the 70's at Training Level! Lisa and Patty had super rides at Training and First Level, placing well in all classes! Amy had a wonderful Developing Horse Test on Saturday getting over a 70 from one judge and ended up with an overall 67.5! Debra also had a good first show with her new stallion at their 4th Level debut! Despite the storms and tornado warnings, we had a very good show! My parents even came to watch, and I was so happy to spend Father's Day with my dad! 5/30/11-Mason City was a huge success over Memorial Day weekend! Lisa showed Amadeus and had good scores, in the mid-sixties, with Amadeus! Amy had a super show with Wieske earning a 72 at 4-1 and a 66.6 in her second Developing Horse Test!! Wrubicon was outstanding with a 70 and two 68's at Training Level! We came home with lot's of Blue ribbons!!
Congratulations to Lawson Duncan on the purchase of Shugar! We are very excited about this fancy young mare that we purchased from Mo Swanson who owns Rolling Stone Farms in PA. She is by Sinatra Song out of Whisper (Weltmeyer).
Cachet 1996-2010 She will be forever in our hearts and we were blessed to have her in our lives.
